Can I just start off by saying how ridiculously amazing the Supra pony hair kicks are? I'm not a big fan of sneakers, but anything with fur is an instant win in my book.  I offered it to the beau as birthday present #2, but he humbly refused.  However, feast your eyes on birthday present #1, an A.OK X Posture Magnetic  sexy leather beast.  Partially obsessed.  Kind of wished I was either a boy or have size 10 feet. haha

Be that as it may, I woke up extremely pleasant the other morning that the erratic rainy weather from the day before had passed and given today clean breezy air and infinite fluffy clouds.  What better way to spend a day than to go shopping! :)

Windy weather calls for the resurrection of my most coveted jacket and bubble blowing pleasure.  Paired with a LBD and I'm good to go.  Couldn't have spent a better afternoon than frolicking in freshly cut grass with the wind feeding you your own hair.  Which by the way, can you tell? It's cut! ...Probably not ( I took an inch off). haha  This weekend I was lectured by my significant other to step out of my 'bubble' aka comfort zone (as if I haven't already done so through the creation of this blog) and to challenge myself (which is my new year's resolution anyway).  To hold on to that resolution I consented my hair to hands that were not my own.  From the past, I've learned that I'd rather screw up my own bed of hair rather than pay someone else to do it for me.  Just like the grass I pranced upon, freshly cut, stands a less nappy, less stringy, and more tolerable mane.

Currently, this dress stands as a personal favorite.  Simple, sheer, and black.  Completely drawn to the lace detailing and overlapping of fabric in the front.  

I sincerely apologize to anyone who has been tormented by the overcast of music that is my player.  I've just recently found out that for windows chrome readers every song on each page would automatically play wreaking havoc upon your ears.  I promise I'm not a complete and total noob.  So with that said, I leave you with one of my favorite bands in one of my favorite remixes/renditions. Finally got around to using the gift card from hercatwalk (Thank you!) and snatched these trimmed daisy dukes from UO.  Also, the fact that it was blazingly hot didn't stop me from wearing my newly modified cardigan.  

Oh, and how creepy is that skeletal remain?  I saw, I snapped, I bolted.

This is one of my more 'gathered' looks.  On most days, more often than not, dishevelment is the case.  However I had an important meeting earlier that day and needed to look 'presentable.' haha If I had the choice, I would've thrown on an unbearably oversized sweater and paired it with some combat boots, which I eventually ended up wearing later in the week, ha.  Since we were in the area, the bf and I walked through Olvera St. shortly thereafter.  I was on a man hunt for the perfect rosary, but being picky always means coming out emptyhanded :(

Tailored Tuesday

victoria's secret cardigan, thrifted vintage leather shorts, h&m button up

Decided to treat myself with my version of r&r for finishing today's midterm by sprucing up my wardrobe, chalked full of leather goods.  I mean, I only have a book to read and two papers due on Thursday, but no big deal right? I've been scheming up a list of mini to-do's this past week and I just could not wait any longer.  The cardigan I've had for a while now and with inspiration from stockholm streetstyle, it was only a matter of time.  I picked up the shorts from buffalo exchange not too long ago, but haven't been able to make use of it because I got in a large.  As much as I love to sag a lot of my pants, leather shorts are not one of them, so I made them snug.  And lastly, my H&M button up that I wore here, got a complete makeover.  It turns out that my roommate has the exact same shirt in the same exact color and because there's no sense in having two of the same things under one roof, I chopped off the sleeves and added leather shoulder pads. 

Drooling over leather accents.  Can't wait to throw these on!! :)

I came back home this weekend and before heading back to L.A., my mother looks at me and says, 

"...so are ripped tights 'in' now?"

me: "..I don't know, I guess..."

mom: "Do you want all of my ripped tights?"

My mother's way of making fun of me.  Mind you, this happens every time I see her. haha 

Apologies for being M.I.A. this week.  Warrior mode has been engaged and will be extended till the end of this coming week. Basically, school has taken over my life.  I raided my boyfriend's closet again before leaving to visit him at work.  As a parting gift, he brought me up to the roof overlooking a landscape of downtown L.A.  I love that oversized, shruggy, comfort feeling, which makes having a boyfriend that much better.  I've always wanted a sister to share a closet with, but I suppose, this'll do.
