It almost never happens that I would contend to any shift in weather. And this day, was no exception. Rain or shine, my cutoffs are kind of my everyday.  Threw on my favorite sweater as of late- I've slowly been migrating from that boho-grunge to sports-grunge and weirdly acquiring sporty-esque things, which is ironic considering how little I exercise, or don't at all...really.

In other fun and high-five worthy news, I've officially been bumped as one of Chictopia's May Style Icons. A sweet treat for those Monday blues. And, I just bought a new bed, woo! :) May, you're kicking it off to a good start.

A more suitable outfit for recent days in LA, just as it was weeks ago...when it was shot. My bad. Nothing fancy, just the usual 'I got out of bed, here I am' kind of look.  It just so happened that we ended up at the Hotel del Coronado in San Diego, which meant some form of shoot had to happen. Should I have braved the masses of sweaty half-naked people this past weekend at Coachella, I would probably have done so in this. Instead, I swapped the denim shorts for some oversized pj's, the boots for fuzzy socks and made sure I caught some of my favorite bands from the comfort of my bed with the kitchen a well's distance away. An everyday situation that seems to work all the time, or is it just me-
Regardless, catching Purity Ring, Beach House, and Tegan & Sara was well worth enough for me.
Still semi bummed for being preoccupied during the afternoon and missing out on...everything.  This really was my year.

Cherishing moments by the beach in little to nothing.  These days don't come by often so it was plenty sweet to knock out for a few hours under the sun. Word to the wise, don't wear strapped closed toe sandals with a rubber insole. Sand forever; lesson learned.
